I found a new metaballs repo and it seems pretty damn quick! This one uses the jobs system to get things done and runs at high FPS even though it doesn’t use the GPU! I haven’t looked deeply into the code yet but it definitely generates a mesh filter, which is what I need for my use case. I’ll look more into this soon. Fingers crossed!

If that GIF looks nicer than usual, it’s because I just started using ScreenToGif! It’s an open source project that even includes a GIF editor. Due to my recent struggles getting Gyazo to run (I needed to run those commands again today to fix it), I’ll be switching over. Gyazo, you served me well. Goodbye!
